Today marks the 1st day of the New Year. I hope you all had a blessed night and safely made it past the 0:00 barrier. Today was an interesting day, as you can probably tell by the title. Irony… is the word of the day.

Usual proceedings occurred in the morning with not much to report. I drove the car again today and realised the luxury that is… power steering. I haven’t drove with as much conviction since learning. Running a red light was fun. But as I said previously, there are no rules and regulations in Karachi, I was probably in the right. Probably…

I can’t say this will be a long post today, the day was full of inactivity. My favourite. I just love being inactive. I hope you sense my sarcasm…

After hanging around with my nephews and nieces for the best part of the afternoon, my dad thought another trip to the driving range was in order. I play golf relatively regularly and to a decent level so I’m well accustomed to playing golf after long periods. Or so I thought. You can probably link the word of the day and the title quite succinctly now. So, being the excellent uncle I am, I was showing my nephew how to swing the golf club. As he took the club back somehow, someway, my shoulder dislocated out of it’s socket and my whole right arm jarred.

I was obviously in excruciating pain, still my arm twitches. Funnily enough, this has happened before. It’s happened while driving my car too. Sometimes when I oversteer when driving with one hand (bad, I know), it happens. Normally leaving me incapicitated. Just what you want.

I’m okay now and the pain will slowly dissipate with some egg and flatbread in morning. Until then…

I’m out
