Overwhelming Creativity

Today has created seemingly unfounded experiences. Rushing around the city in over 40-degree heat, being so busy I can’t wrap my head around it. Overwhelming creativity.

‘Idle time is great. For some things. Extreme periods of busyness means that I have time just to waste. That’s a problem for me.’

Today has been outright madness.

I have either been in meetings (interviews) or on the phone.

I had an impromptu meeting with a guy over the phone and we struck up quite the conversation.

I had to think on my feet.

Grab my recording device and put the phone on speaker.

Only today I’ve met with the City Manager and a representative from the Chamber of Commerce.

Two influential individuals with little time to waste talking to me about my project.

That is always very humbling to have that access.

I am about to have a late-scheduled meeting with a veteran of the city.

It’s all going on.

But this leaves time for inactivity.

Specifically the weekends.

This weekend I was severely ‘unproductive’.

But who cares?

I lounged, ate and relaxed.

Everyone is allowed a break once in a while.

I woke up today feeling relaxed and that was slightly my downfall.

Where I’m not she’s to that it makes it difficult to get going – the 9am meeting at City Hall didn’t help.

I’m back after a little bit.

My day has taken an awesome turn.

I’ll have to explain some more tomorrow.

But I’m really enjoying myself.

Today has made me relax a bit more.

Promise I’ll catch you up tomorrow.

That overwhelming feeling comes and goes but let me tell you – this is an experience of a lifetime.

No doubt about that.
